The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of an animal bite on Walter S. Hall on Sept. 4.
According to an OCSD report, a 40-year-old woman said her 9-year-old daughter was bitten by their neighbor’s dog as she was riding her bicycle in the street. The responding deputy reported there was no mark left on the girl’s ankle as the bite did not penetrate the skin.
The girl said she was riding her bike in front of their neighbor’s house when she heard the 11-year-old boy who lives there tell his dog to “sic her.” She said the dog ran into the street and bit her ankle. The girl’s mother did not wish to press charges, but wanted the neighbor advised to keep the dog on a leash. The neighbor was advised by the OCSD of the incident.
