The Lake Orion girls? basketball squad topped Birmingham Groves 75-31 Thursday night in an OAA III contest.
The Dragons held visiting Groves to just eight second half points, turning a 13-point halftime lead into a complete rout.
Bethany Watterworth led the way for Lake Orion with 18 points and seven rebounds. Courtney Zott added 12 points and five assists and Trisha Dalrymple connected on four three-point attempts, also finishing with 12 points.
Lake Orion improved to 15-2 overall and 8-1 in league action. The team plays their final three league games this week (all against teams they’ve beaten this season) and can clinch the title by winning two of them.
