Of the 17 games so far this season, the girls varsity basketball team has lost only twice. And both times were against Pontiac Northern.
They had better luck with Southfield on Feb. 10. Lady Dragons defeated the Blue Jays 64-50.
Bethany Watterworth led the scoring with 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
Courtney Zott added another 20 points.
Jackie Hood and Kate Dalrymple each contributed five.
On Feb. 13, the girls took on North Farmington and won 54-53 in a fantastic finish.
With less than ten seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, the Dragons were down by one point when Zott hit a jump shot that secured the victory.
Watterworth, again, led the scoring with 26 points and eight rebounds.
Melanie Lamerato scored 14 points and Alexis Haan added eight.
The team is now 15-2 overall and 10-2 in the league.
They are in sole possession of first place in the OAA Red Division.
The team travels to Rochester on Thursday, Feb. 19 to take on the Falcons.
