Good times at Jamboree

The Clarkston Wolves Varsity Boys Cross Country placed fourth in the OAA Division 1 Jamboree Sept. 25.
The top finisher for the Wolves was junior Jeff Kuhl, with eighth place overall and a time of 17:14.2. He was followed by sophomore Eric Nordquist, 25th place at 19:21.7, and freshman Christian Bozheim, 27 place at 18:24.2
Andrew Chaffee, Johann Britting, Forbes Denver, Larry Cassar and Michael Inch contributed several strong performances to the varsity team score total.
Lake Orion Dragons boys varsity took the top finish position, followed by Bloomfield Hills Lahser and Rochester Falcons.
Nine teams competed in the event at Stoney Creek Metro Park in Sterling Heights. Boys and girls varsity as well as junior varsity competed during the jamboree.
The junior varsity competition saw five Wolves finish in the top 12, among 163 participants. Junior Giovann McDougal came in second with a time of 18:53.4. Top finishers also included freshman Austin Yarger, fifth place at 19:07.7; sophomore Ryan Brown, 10th place, 19:38.1; junior Evan Brown, 13th place, 19:43.4; and senior Evan Lessenthein, 18th place, 19:51.8.
Erik Shaw, Aaron Butora, Josh Herrera, Taylor Seimen and Jeremy Kelly also had strong performances and logged several new personal bests.
