Goodrich – An ad hoc committee is planning this September’s ‘Good Times in Goodrich? celebration, but more help is needed.
The committee discussed ideas at last week’s Goodrich-Atlas Chamber of Commerce meeting at Cranberries Cafe. The event is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 9.
Current plans for the celebration include live entertainment, a craft show, a merchant and business display, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, children’s entertainment, games and inflatable bounce tents, and a fund-raiser Fun Run.
Proceeds from the festival will be split between contribution to a community project and the chamber of commerce, said the Rev. Karl Zeigler, who is acting as interim committee chairperson.
‘We’d be delighted to have additional persons volunteer,? said Zeigler. ‘We’re looking for team and chair people to help decide different aspects of the event.?
The committee meets again this week at 8 a.m. March 15 at Cranberries Cafe, located at 10250 Hegel Road in downtown Goodrich. Volunteers are welcome.
