Goodrich— On Feb. 16 the Goodrich Martians Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated the Lake Fenton Blue Devils 75-43 to finish the Flint Metro League Stars Division season as a co-champion with Goodrich in the Flint Metro League championship tournament.
Then on Feb. 20 the Martians defeated Holly, 61-41, while the Blue Devils took down Fenton, 83-74 to set up a Flint Metro League Championship game on Feb. 23 at Flushing High School.
In the Feb. 16 game against Lake Fenton, the Martians raced out to a 41-16 halftime lead as GHS Fr. #3 Jensen LePla, 23 points, two rebounds, four assists; GHS Jr. #1 Parker LePla 19 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks; GHS Sr. #4 Landon Brown, 15 points, five rebounds, one assist; Landon Williams 13 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks; GHS Sr. #14 Carson Raether, three points, six assists & one steal and GHS Jr. #25 Chase Burnett, two points, two rebounds & one steal.
In the Feb. 20 Holly game GHS #3 Jensen LePla: 23 points, five rebounds, six assists and two blocks;GHS #1 Parker LePla: 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists & one block; GHS #5 Landon Williams: seven points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal; GHS #5 Landon Brown: five points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
