It’s eating with purpose. Guests at Orion/Oxford Boys and Girls Club twelveth annual Taste of the Town raised over $8,000 for the non-profit group, said club Director Tim Dougan.
The event, held March 20 at Canterbury Village, featured 18 local eateries. The live and silent auction had bidders drooling over more than the food. A Pistons suite package for their game against the Chicago Bulls went for $400 and a spa services set went for $350. Two lucky bidders took home framed sections of U of M and Michigan State turf for $200 a piece.
