The newly built Clarkston Health Center, a partnership between Genesys Health System in Genesee County and POH Medical Center in Oakland County, held a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, May 13.
Featured speakers included L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County executive; Dale Stuart, Independence Township supervisor; Patrick E. Lamberti, president and CEO of POH Medical Center; and Timothy J. Keener, vice president of Growth and Innovation for Genesys Health System. Jerry Vogler, executive director of the Clarkston Health Center, hosted the festivities.
The facility will provide 24 hour emergency and laboratory services, diagnostic services, rehabilitation services, a pharmacy and physician specialist offices (physician offices open later this year). Emergency and medical services open May 22.
The Clarkston Health Center, located at the northwest corner of Dixie Highway and White Lake Road, is the second facility to open on the 60-acre medical campus. Sunrise Assisted Living is a 72-bed center, with one of two 20-bed Alzheimer’s and related dementia units also open.
