An 8-0 victory over host Rochester on Friday night helped the Lake Orion Hockey team move up two spots to #17 in the latest United States High School Hockey Online rankings for the state of Michigan.
The team currently sits ninth among all Division 1 teams in the USHSHO rankings.
Kevin Kranker recorded a hat trick for the third straight game to lead the Dragon scoring barrage against Rochester.
Lake Orion recorded two shorthanded goals and two power play goals and won 22 of 27 faceoffs.
Jason Stross recorded his third shutout of the season in net.
The Dragons are 11-2-1 overall and 8-0-1 in OAA II play. They host Waterford Kettering on Thursday at the Detroit Skating Club (8 p.m. start), then travel to Berkley on Saturday.
