Clarkston Area Optimist Club honored middle, junior, and high school students at Youth Appreciation Breakfast May 16.
‘This is one of my favorite mornings throughout the school year,? said Clarkston Junior High Principal Shawn Ryan.
‘This is the time we recognize students who fit most with the Optimists? creed ? for me, that’s someone who goes out of their way to try and make the community better and stronger.?
Students were honored by their school principals, presented with certificates, and enjoyed breakfast with the Optimists.
The club, which meets Wednesdays 7:30 a.m. at Liberty golf club on Maybee Road, honored elementary students May 2.
