Forsters Auto Wash has expanded and as of July, now offers Forsters Detailing.
‘You can only make a vehicle last if you take care of it, keep it clean, and wax it,? says Beau Bacevicius, general manager of Forster’s Auto Wash, 880 S. Ortonville Road. ‘Wax wears off and the vehicle fades and loses color. With detailing, you can make it last longer and drive something that looks nice.?
Package services for vehicle exteriors at Forsters Detailing include wax and buff (with vehicle hand-washed and waxed) for $50-$60 and express wax (Armor All used on plastic and tire treatment and Invisible Glass treatment for the windows) for $30-$40.
In exterior detailing, Bacevicius explains, a compound is used to remove wax, oxidization, paint damage, scratches, and swirl marks. Cody Gould, who performs the detailing, will then start over with new fresh polish. The process can take from 1-3 hours, by hand or machine.
‘I like doing this,? says Gould. ‘I love cars. It’s my life.?
Customers can drop off their vehicle or Forsters will pick it up.
Other packages offered include Express Auto Detailing includes a high speed clean and fill wax, interior steam cleaning, Invisible Glass window treatment; door jambs polish, and interior and exterior Armor All treatment for $100-$110. A complete auto detailing package is $150 and includes the high speed clean and fill wax, polish seal-wax, interior steam clean, leather and vinyl conditioning, Invisible Glass window treatment, wheels cleaned and polished, Armor All tire treatment, tar and sap removal, door jambs polished, all plastic cleaned and treated, and vent cleaning.
‘With interior cleaning we vacuum, get all the nooks and crannies, and remove coffee stains,? says Bacevicius.
Steam cleaning is used on interiors, as well as spot treatment, vinyl portection, odor removal and leather conditioning. Grease is removed from door jambs and Forster’s Detailing, which is fully insured, offers engine cleaning by hand.
