Kayla O’Mara Memorial Invitational

Goodrich — On Oct. 15, both Brandon and Goodrich participated in the Kayla O’Mara Memorial Invitational Cross Country meet at Goodrich. The Goodrich girls won the small school race, placing four runners in the top 9 and five in the top 19.
GHS Kamryn Lauinger won the race in a time of 19:38; Layla Jordan 2nd in the race and second for Goodrich and GHS Alexis Waring was third for Goodrich and 8th overall.
The Brandon Girls finished sixth of 10 teams and 91 runners. BHS Sadie Scribner (21:25) was first for Brandon and 18th overall; BHS Haily Hylton (23:52) second for Brandon and 57th overall and Clara Mackey third for Brandon and 60th overall.
The Goodrich boys finished 6th in a field of 114 runners. First for Goodrich and 8th overall was Vincent Pattison (17:42), second for Goodrich and 17th overall was Cole Winter (18:05), third for Goodrich and 55th overall was Brody Orcutt (19:41).
The Brandon boys were 11th of 13 teams. BHS Nik Shillilng (16:47) was first for Brandon and third overall; BHS Josh Oswald (19:23) was second and 50th overall and BHS Logan Ziebarth(20:42) was third and 76 overall.
