L.A. Dance is seeing platinum after recently competing at the 2008 Hall of Fame National Dance Competition in Chicago.
A total of 60 dance studios from across the nation competed in the event where L.A. Dance fared extremely well.
The studio brought home 28 Platinum Awards and five High Gold Awards at the national competition.
Out of 85 Junior Soloists, Nicole Bell placed third overall and won the Solo Showdown Showcase with her jazz solo.
Brian Hernandez placed third overall and was selected for the Solo Showdown Showcase with his tap solo.
Savannah Moeller placed sixth overall with her musical theater solo and Lauren Davis placed ninth overall with her jazz solo.
Hernadez? modern solo also won the Best Choreography Award.
In the Teen Soloist category, Austin Reynolds placed seventh overall out of 65 acts with his hip-hop solo.
In the Senior Soloist category, Ryan Plecha placed first overall out of 19 acts with her tap solo and won the Solo Showdown Showcase.
In the Duet/Trio Junior Category, out of 27 acts, Lauren Butterworth and Gillian Ward placed first overall and won the Duet/Trio Showdown Showcase with their tap number. Nicole Bell, Taylor Gray and Lauren Davis placed second overall and were in the Showdown with their jazz number, and Lauren Dysarz and Nicole Bell placed third overall and also were in the Showdown with their jazz duet. Brittany Davis and Katie Messina placed fourth overall with their tap routine.
In the Junior Group Category, the Production number placed second overall out of 77 acts and placed third overall in the World Series of Dance.
Out of 46 Small Groups, the hip-hop routine placed third overall and won the Entertainment Award.
Two tap numbers tied for fourth overall and a jazz number placed fifth overall.
The clogging number and a tap number tied for sixth overall and a jazz number placed seventh overall.
In the Teen Small Group Category, the tap number placed second overall out of 29 acts and was also in the World Series of Dance.
