When the ski season began for the girls varsity team, they were ready and took to the slopes for their first meet Jan. 7.
The team beat Cranbrook (22-55) and Detroit Country Day (20-64)
Top racers from the Slalom were Analicia Honkanen in second, Kelly Peters in third and Maddy Dunn in fourth. Elizabeth Wolf finished the meet in tenth place.
The next day during the Giant Slalom Honkanen raced into first, followed by Dunn (3rd), Peters (4th) and Lauren Horner in 16th.
The girls continued on the next week and won two more. This time against Notre Dame Prep (23-51) and Rochester Adams (24-51).
Honkanen led in the Slalom taking first place. Dunn took third while Peters finished in fourth and Wolf was 12th.
For the Giant Slalom, Peters finished first, Honkanen in second, Dunn in third and Wolf in sixth.

The boy varsity team split their first week by beating Detroit Country Day (32-45) and lost to Cranbrook (25-55).
Scoring in the Slalom was Grant Huber in 16th, Nick Kellogg in 24th, Ian Marchbank (31st) and Jordan Buetow (37th).
For the Giant Slalom Huber tied at ninth and Brent Venitallie took 16th.
The following week the boys tied with Rochester Adams, scoring 36. They lost to Notre Dame (33-41).
Scoring in the Slalom was Venitallie (19th), Buetow (31st) and Kellogg (35th).
Scoring for the boys in Slalom and place overall:
Kellogg placed 20th in the Giant Slalom followed by Huber (21st) and Venitallie (25th).
