Le Fleur Decor continues to grow in a unique way.
Owner-artist Kelly Smith has taken her craft outside providing distinctive home offerings just off the beaten path, in a country setting just north of Pratt Road in Hadley.
Beneath an open greenhouse-like structure fashioned from old windows, root vases, windchimes, birdhouses, and candleholders sway in the wind. It’s under that canopy that customers can find unique and exotic plants’greenery seldom found in the larger chain greenhouses, including annuals, perennials, herbs and container gardens. Wandering through her gardens will give you pleanty of ideas.
‘People just need to stop out and see everything to truly appreciate the selection,? said Smith. ‘I’ve expanded the garden area to offer more options and some rather uncommon plants.?
Whether spices, flowers or shrubbery Smith draws on years of artistic abilities to provide the right accents to any home both inside and out.
While Smith has long dabbled in artistic projects, including pressing flowers, or painting vases or furniture for art shows it wasn’t until her employer relocated to Chicago that she opened LeFleur Decor about three years ago.
