Brandon School District Community Voters please vote YES on the Brandon School District NON-HOMESTEAD Operating Millage RENEWAL.  This renewal tax is on non-homestead properties only.  It is NOT an increase or renewal for those of us in our primary home.  The renewal only applies to businesses and second homes in the district.  It is a 10-year renewal and not a new tax.  Please VOTE YES.  This is a critical and essential source of funding for the Brandon School District.  About 3 million dollars from the school district’s general operating budget is at stake.  This is a simple and much-needed YES VOTE on November 7th.  Never quit when it comes to our kids and schools!  Vote YES!

Friends of the Library
As President of the Brandon Township Library’s Board of  Trustees, I want to take this time to thank an amazing group of volunteers serving our community.
Led by Tom Roberts, the Friends of the Library, (FOL) has worked hard to host events and  raise money to support programs at the library, making the library experience fun for the entire community. FOL also has a very active bookstore in the building with reasonable used books to purchase. We are very fortunate to have such an active friends group here in Brandon Township.
Hopefully many of you were able to attend the wonderful event last night that was hosted by the FOL: it was a dinner and murder mystery gala entitled “Hollywood LIes.”
If you’ve not yet joined, I encourage you to visit the library’s website and sign up!
So let’s give a big Thank You to Tom Roberts and the membership of the FOL during this National Friends of Libraries Week, October 15 to the 21st.
