A resident on Florence Street will have a ramp built at her house thanks to the help of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church and the cooperation of the Lake Orion Village Council.
Helen Braidwood recently broke her hip and is confined to a wheelchair. Members of the church’s Project Shalom are building a ramp from her front porch to the driveway.
Council members granted on Oct. 14 “reasonable accommodation.” Braidwood will not have to apply for any variances at the LO Board of Zoning Appeals.
