Max L. Waite, of Lake Orion passed away on Jan 18 at the age of 97.
Max was preceded in death by his beloved wife Florence of 64 years.
He is the loving father of Roger (Dianna) Douglas (the late Gail), Carol Ann (Thomas) Simmons, and Sharon (David) Preston.
He was a dear and respected grandfather of Michelle, Carl, Tina, Dan, Justyne, Bob, Sarah, Mark, Tommy, Kelly, Travis, Missy, Mark, Samantha, Chris, BreAnne, Natalie and Glen.
He was also a cherished great grandfather of Brendan, Carl Lee, Tyler, Brianna, Austin, Adam, Logan, Chase, Allana, Noah, Ethan, Ryan, Caitlin, Emma, Owen, and John.
Max was a very active and longtime member of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church.
He was a dedicated husband and caretaker to his wife Florence and a devoted family man.
Funeral services were held on January 31 at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church with Pastor Marge Munger officiating.
The family received friends on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
