The 18th Annual Mike Quinn Golf Classic will be held on May 12 at the Copper Hills Golf Course in Oxford.
The event was started in 1990 to help raise money for Mike Quinn, a Lake Orion youth with leukemia.
This year, the event will help Ryder Berman, a one-year-old with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia who received a bone marrow/stem cell transplant last August, and Garret Hill, a six-year-old currently undergoing a series of chemotherapy treatments for Medulloblastoma.
Hole or green sponsorships are still available, and participation in the four-person scramble costs just $100 per player (including golf, a cart, and admission to the party afterwards).
A party at the Knights of Columbus in Lake Orion, which includes dinner, beer, prizes and dancing, will take place after the golf (which begins at 1 p.m.). Attendance at the party only costs just $35.
Those interested in making a contribution can make check’s payable to the Michael Quinn Children’s Assistance Fund, a non-profit organization.
