Brandon Twp.- With Thanksgiving and Christmas closing in, the Ortonville Community Emergency Fund is seeking help in making the season a happy one for area residents in need.
Monetary and food donations are requested and giving tags will soon be available. Volunteers who can give an hour or so of their time can sign up now for the distribution schedule, which will be as follows: Thanksgiving food sort, Nov. 23; order packing, the morning of Nov. 24, with distribution in the afternoon; Christmas toy store Dec. 12-13, and Christmas food and gifts, sort on Dec. 14 and pack and distribute on Dec. 15.
