Lake Orion Village has taken bids for crack sealing work to be done within the Village of Lake Orion. To save money, the village has again taken bids for 2011 and eliminated HRC from the handling and bidding process. Letters were sent to five companies but only Scodeller Construction replied with a rate of $1.59 per lineal foot sealed. DPW Superintendent Mike Olson has recommended the hiring of Scodeller for the project, as they have worked for the village in the past, for the cost not to exceed $7,000. The work is to be finished before Oct. 15.
