Ortonville- Village residents and business owners can expect to see a new face working around town.
Bob Hauxwell was hired Sept. 21 as the new Department of Public Works director. The 51-year-old Ortonville resident has 30-plus years of experience in forestry, irrigation, landscaping, line clearance for power companies and has been a subcontractor performing road improvement for Oakland County.
‘I’m happy to be here and hopefully Justin and I can take care of everything everybody wants and needs,? said Hauxwell. ‘I like being outside and seeing the end results.?
Justin Donajkowski was hired as a part-time village DPW employee in March. He and Hauxwell replace Bill Prince and Kevin Booms, who were terminated in late January and early February.
Hauxwell and Donajkowski were busy trimming trees, cleaning up litter and sprucing up town this week in preparation for Septemberfest today.
