All of Oxford Township’s parks will be open year-round, from sunrise to sunset, unless otherwise posted by the parks and recreation department.
A resolution authorizing this was approved by the township board last week in a 7-0 vote. The new hours apply to Stony Lake, Oakwood Lake, Seymour Lake and Powell Lake parks.
Previously, Stony Lake Park’s hours of operation were 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Seymour Lake was open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Officials made the change ‘in order to maximize the benefits and amenities of the township parks,? according to the resolution.
