North Farmington outpowers Lady Wildcat swimmers

The Lady Wildcat Swim & Dive team held their second of three home meets on the season and lost to North Farmington 124-62.
We are now 3 – 3 overall and 2 – 3 in our league,? said Head Coach Jacquelyn Rank. ‘Farmington had more power and more depth, winning nine of the 12 events. Winners for Oxford included senior swimmer Haley Kornburger and junior diver Jaynee Butkiewicz.
In the 200 Medley Relay: Oxford’s A Relay of Sydney Liverance, Elizabeth Wilkins, Bella Giannola, and Allison Miller took third with a time of 2:09.98; 200 Freestyle: Haley Kornburger took first with a time of 1:58.04; 200 Individual Medley: Bella Giannola finished in second place for Oxford with a personal best time of 2:29.36; 50 Freestyle: Taylor Curtis came in third place with a time of 27.32.
In Diving: Jaynee Butkiewicz took first place with a score of 178.75. Elise Ormiston
took 2nd place; 100 Butterfly: Bella Giannola came in second place with a personal best time of 1:08.19.
In the 100 Freestyle: Haley Kornburger finished in first place with a time of 54.50. Allison Miller rounded out the top five. 500 Freestyle: Taylor Curtis finished in second place with a time of 5:48.18. 200 Freestyle Relay: Oxford’s A Relay of Haley Kornburger, Allison Miller, Abbie Fredericks, and Taylor Curtis took second place with a time of 1:51.57.
In the 100 Backstroke: Sydney Liverance came in 2nd place with a time of 1:11.48; 100 Breastroke: Elizabeth Wilkins finished in 4th place with a time of 1:21.80.
Val Dedvukaj rounded out the top five. 400 Freestyle Relay: Oxford’s A Relay of Taylor Curtis, Abbie Fredericks, Bella Giannola, and Haley Kornburger finished in second place with a time of 3:56.78.
The Lady Wildcat swimmers will host the Dragons of Lake Orion at their last home dual meet of the year on Thurs. Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. at Oxford High School’s pool.
‘Since this is our last home meet, this will also act as our senior night with a quick presentation after diving of our 10 seniors,? noted Rank.
