Woman beaten, raped, held captive, say police Lake Orion Police arrested two men who allegedly beat and raped a 52-year-old Orion Township woman they held captive in their home for nearly two months. Leon Jeffrey Setty, 54, and Frank Brian Bennett, 47-both long-time Lake Orion residents-were arraigned Wednesday, Nov. 11 on multiple charges of criminal sexual conduct.
Businesses burgled Lake Orion Police issued a warning after a string of burglaries left many business owners around the Orion area, as well as in surrounding communities, with missing cash and damaged property.

Schools’ fund balance grows while programs are cut Auditors recently applauded the school district for good fiscal management, but is Lake Orion Community Schools being too conservative in their budget? Some yes, citing cuts in services and programming while the district’s fund balance continued to grow. District administrators disagreed.
