The Orion War Memorial will now be known as the Orion Veterans Memorial.
The Orion Township Board of Trustees approved the request from memorial project manager Bill Devine at the Feb. 3 meeting. Devine said the project is well underway, with the goal being to have Phase I (which includes everything in the memorial except the two main monuments) completed by mid to late summer of 2003.
