.Dear Editor:
The seventh annual Ortonville Chamber of Commerce Expo at the new Brandon High School cafeteria on Nov. 12 proved to be both fun and successful. Despite a cold rain and some challenging economic times, the patrons of Ortonville came together for a night of laughs and great food while conducting some business. The evening featured a host of door prizes awarded to patrons throughout the event, along with a scavenger hunt at the expo.
A $100 gas card winners were Roger and Jan Tait.
The Chamber thanks volunteer students from BHS National Honor Society; Bridget Fisher, Kari Mirovsky, Brent Schumacher, Chelsea McCullough, Vanessa Minalick, Tommy Gordan, Monica Walls, Tyler Gorney and Hailey Phelps. They were generous with their time to help greet the public at the entrances and with face painting for the children who attended.
The Ortonville Chamber works diligently throughout the year to help bring the community and business owners together in an effort to promote networking, in addition to assisting in the growth and prosperity of the area. My committee, Jackie Nowicki and The Citizen, Kathy Johnson, Fred Waybrant, Della Kozloff, Bob McArthur and David Kwapis, all worked to make the Expo a success. I’m proud to be part of this great Chamber organization and a local business owner’it’s both a privilege and honor.
I love this town.
