Ortonville — This summer, the Ortonville Downtown Development Authority is introducing two interns that will be working on various projects and events throughout downtown.
Unique Pethick, a 2019 Brandon graduate, is currently a senior at Grand Valley State University. She is majoring in advertising and minoring in digital studies.
“I’m really hoping to help the DDA with their social media presence,” said Pethick. “Their in-person branding is really good. I’m really excited to help them push that and take it to a more modern style.”
Pethick is currently working on the farmer’s market, but will be working on other events throughout the summer.
“By honing my skills in creating engaging event content, leveraging social media platforms, and analyzing campaign impact, I hope to contribute to the success of these events and attract a wider audience in Ortonville and beyond,” she said. “I’m also looking forward to collaborating with Paige. We both have something really unique to bring to the table.”
Paige Toms is a 2021 graduate of Goodrich High School, and she will be a junior at Central Michigan University this fall. She is majoring in advertising and double-minoring in journalism and cinema studies.
“For this internship, my goals consist of continuing my skills in graphics, communication and time management,” said Toms. “I am excited and looking toward events and raising awareness for downtown Ortonville. I also look forward to continuing to work hard and be a dedicated intern.”
