Friday, Feb. 27 — A 46-year-old woman reported about $20,000 worth of jewelry missing from her residence. She listed several people who had access to her home but said she didn’t know of anybody who might steal it.
Friday, March 6 — The daughter of a 60-year-old Oxford woman lost her cell phone in an area convenience store. They later discovered someone used the phone to download about $400 in music.
Saturday, March 7 — A 40-year-old Oxford Township man evicted from a Clarkston home reportedly became belligerent and left threatening phone calls and voice mails with one of the residents.
Saturday, March 7 — At Basket Bridge, a 16-year-old Oxford girl was reported as a runaway. They later found her at a friend’s house; she refused to go home.
Monday, March 9 — Police responded to a dispute between a landlord and an outgoing tenant at North Baldwin Road. The tenant, a 63-year-old woman, had been granted an extension on her eviction notice.
She returned to the residence to find someone had put branches in the driveway and back porch. She told officials she thought the 24-year-old landlord was responsible.
Tuesday, March 10 — A Lakes Edge Drive resident reported someone had knocked down their mailbox.
Tuesday, March 10 — At a North Lapeer Road store, officials apprehended a 16-year-old girl and an unidentified man who left without paying for two bottles of liquor. They were not cooperative, and the girl had a previous retail fraud of $107.97 at a Lapeer store on her record. Furthermore she’d been reported missing from Dryden.
Wednesday, March 11 — Police made two DUI arrests, first a 34-year-old man at North Lapeer and Davison Lake Roads and then a driver near South Washington Rd.

Wednesday, March 11 — Someone broke into a shed at a Nuttall Bridge residence and took various power tools. The 30-year-old Oxford Township owner told authorities the theft took place in early February and that he believed an ex-employee was responsible.
Another person told police the suspect spoke of taking the items, valued at $405.
Thursday, March 12 — At Oxford High School, an 18-year-old man was found consuming alcohol.
Thursday, March 12 — Police pulled over a speeding driver at Hunters Rill and Laurel Leah. She was driving 25 mph in a 15 zone. They found the driver was a 15-year-old Orion Township girl who had only a permit.
The car owner, riding with her, did not have her own driver’s license in her possession.
Saturday, March 14 — On Clark, a custody dispute ensued as one parent refused to return their two sons to the other parent.
Saturday, March 14 — Authorities found a 16-year-old girl who’d run away from home. She said there had been family trouble and claimed she’d been assaulted, but officials found no evidence of that. They advised her of the necessity of obeying her parents.
Sunday, March 15 — Store detectives at a North Lapeer Road business caught a 19-year-old Byron man trying to leave the store without paying for $259.92 in toys and media center equipment on his person.
The man had no criminal record or any arrest warrants, and they charged him with third-degree retail fraud.
Sunday, March 15 — A 32-year-old Waterford woman left a Franklin Lake Circle party after consuming alcoholic beverages. She drove, was stopped and arrested for DUI. Police described her as uncooperative; she also claimed to be assaulted at the party, but no evidence was found to support that.
Her blood alcohol level was unknown. Results of a blood test were pending.
Sunday, March 15 — A 25-year-old Oxford Township man tried to take a fifth of booze from a North Lapeer Road store without paying for it, reportedly hiding it inside his long coat. He was caught and alleged he wanted it for a family party.
Officials found three outstanding warrants on his record, and he was charged with third-degree retail fraud.
