Congratulations to Oxford resident Jimmy Walker who skillfully bagged an eight-point, 200-pound buck Nov. 15.
The 16-year-old sophomore at Oxford High School shot the trophy buck ? his very first deer ? in Newberry, which is located in the eastern Upper Peninsula about 65 miles from the Mackinac Bridge.
Walker shot the buck from a distance of 253 yards with a Sako .300 Winchester Magnum.
