Vice-presidential candidate and former Gov. Sarah Palin is keynote speaker at the second bi-annual Michigan Defending the American Dream Summit, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, May 1, at Mt. Zion Church, 4900 Maybee Road.
Hosting the summit is Americans for Prosperity Foundation, a national non-profit group based in Washington, D.C. It offers educational programs and analyses on economic policy and the constitution. It supports cutting taxes and government spending, removing barriers to entrepreneurship and opportunity, and judicial reform of economic regulation.
Speakers also include economist Steve Moore, Wall Street Journal and Fox News contributor, and foundation President Tim Phillips. Topics include health care, property rights, taxes, federal and state budget, government transparency, educational choice, and cap-andtrade.
