Pine Grove Baptist Church is dedicated to spreading a passion for God to the community.
It’s a mission Pastor Robert Reece says he and his congregation of more than 50 intend to accomplish ‘by showing that joyfully and lovingly serving Jesus Christ far exceeds anything that impacts their lives.?
Reece says the commitment of the church is threefold.
First, says Reece, is their ‘God-centered approach in the instruction and application of God’s timeless truths.?
Next, Pine Grove Baptist Church focuses upon ‘Christ exalting worship designed to magnify His eternal value.?
Finally, says Reece, the church is committed to: ‘Spirit controlled ministry that is sensitive to the power of God, who is actually working in and through the lives of people.?
‘We believe that the greatest peril that threatens the family is a diminishing attitude towards the importance of God, Jesus and His word,? says Reece.
With that in mind, Reece said the task at hand for Pine Grove Baptist Church is to;
nChallenge the families in this community to consider God’s word and make a life changing commitment to Christ
nCreate an atmosphere for worship and instruction that will enhance personal spiritual growth by strengthening their faith and equipping them for Godly living and
nRecognize the God given skills of those committed to Christ centered living and help them to develop and apply them in ministering to others.
Reece said Sunday morning service at Pine Grove Baptist Church is ‘a systematic study of biblical principals designed to encourage Godly living.? Sunday morning bible study, meanwhile, is ‘designed to explain and demonstrate the practical application of the biblical principals,? says Reece
The church also has ‘Life Line? classes that were designed to be instructive concerning biblical doctrines with a specific focus on answering the pressing questions of life in God and human responsibilities to Him.
‘Currently we are beginning a study series called ‘Always Ready,? focusing on the defense of the exclusive claims of Christianity as opposed to other world religions,? says Reece.
Pine Grove Baptist Church has recently acquired four acres of land on M-15, upon which they hope to build a place of worship.
