Thirty new homes could pop up on land near Silver Bell and Giddings roads in the near future.?
On March 2, an engineering firm from Troy will present conditional site plans to the Orion Township Planning Commission at a public hearing for Veena Village,a proposed 30-home development.?
The applicants are requesting a rezoning of the property from Suburban Estates (SE) to Single Family Residential-2 (R-2), with conditions. The 25.41 acre property, borders Powers Distributing on the east, with two small areas that face Silver Bell.?
Because eight acres of the parcel are wetland, the condition the applicant is proposing is to only develop 30 single-family residential homes on higher ground within the parcel. The wetlands will remain untouched, except for a small portion for an access road.?
