PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
VILLAGE OF GOODRICH
PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 2022-01
AN ORDINANCE TO
PERMIT AND REGULATE MOBILE FOOD VEHICLE VENDORS
The Village of Goodrich Council at their regular meeting scheduled on Monday, March 14,2022 at 6:00 p.m. located at the Village Municipal Building, 7338 S. State Street, P.O. Box 276 Goodrich, MI 48438 (810) 636-2570 will hold a Public Hearing to receive citizen input to consider the adoption of a proposed Ordinance No. 2022-01 an ordinance to permit and regulate mobile food vehicle vendors. The provisions of this ordinance apply to mobile food vehicles engaged in business of cooking, preparing and distributing food or beverage with or without charge upon or in public and private restricted spaces. This ordinance does not apply to vehicles which dispense food and that move from place to place and are stationary in the same location for no more than 15 minutes at a time, such as ice cream trucks, frozen food trucks, etc. Mobile food vending shall mean vending, serving, or offering for sale and/or beverages from a mobile food vending unit which meets the definition of Food Service Establishment under Public Act 92 of 2000, which may include the ancillary sales of branded items consistent with the food, such as a t-shirt that bears the name of the organization engaged in mobile food vending.
Copies of the proposed ordinance are available for viewing at the village office, or on our website; www.villageofgoodrich.com. Citizens are invited to attend the hearing in-person or via Zoom to speak either pro or con on this matter. Written comments can be directed to the Village of Goodrich Clerk, at the aforementioned address.
