Fast food doesn’t have to be all lukewarm hamburgers, greasy pizza and messy tacos.
Why not enjoy a fresh-made sub from Quiznos piled high with quality ingredients and toasted to perfection?
Quiznos? Oxford and Lake Orion locations offers customers a diverse menu that includes 21 subs featuring premium steak, delectable chicken, inspired turkey, deli favorites and signature classics.
Top off your sub with some chips, a cookie and soft drink.
Not in the mood for a sub, don’t worry.
Quiznos offers savory soups (broccoli cheese, chili and a third choice that varies with the season) and six different flatbread salads, all served with dressing on the side.
Both locations are owned by Lapeer residents Jennifer, Ryan, Robert and Betty Sieh.
The Siehs? opened the Oxford location (960 N. Lapeer, Oxford Crossing) in April 2007.
The family recently acquired the Lake Orion store (335 S. Broadway St., Atwater Commons) and are hoping to turn it into the model of efficiency and quality that the Oxford location’s become.
For those who don’t have time to stop in, Quiznos offers delivery within a three-mile radius.
‘Depending how busy we are, we may go up to five miles,? Jennifer noted. There’s a $2 charge for delivery and orders must be a minimum of $8.
Orders can be placed over the phone, on-line at www.quiznos.com or via fax (248-236-9729 for Oxford and 248-693-9510 for Lake Orion).
Customers searching for a meal that’s light on both the stomach and the pocketbook should sample one of Quiznos eight Flatbread Sammies.
Each Sammie ? whether it’s chicken, turkey, steak or Italian ? costs only $2 and is served on toasty flatbread with chopped lettuce and tomato.
‘Sammies are the big thing right now,? Jennifer said.
Two of the Sammies ? Balsamic Chicken and Black Angus Steak ? are only 200 calories each making them perfect for people watching their weight.
Tired of your kids ordering the same old chicken nuggets or hotdogs? Let them try a Quiz Kidz Meal, which includes a toasty sub or Sammie just their size, drink, cookie and one of fours Sudo-Q Puzzle Games.
Planning a small gathering or large party? Let Quiznos do the cooking.
Sub and Sammie trays that can feed anywhere from three to 20 people are available along with party packs that include fresh salad and either chips or cookies.
Locally, Jennifer said the Oxford location tries to help out wherever it can with a donation or two.
In the past, the Oxford Quiznos has donated to the Oxford High School Yearbook, Project Graduation and the Oxford Township Parks and Recreation girls softball youth league.
‘We try to support whatever comes our direction,? Jennifer said.
