Sashabaw Middle School has been selected as a Blue Ribbon School of Michigan.
Michigan’s Department of Education chooses the award recipients through peer review committees and a site verification visit.
Established in 1982, the award is given to five schools each year and is based on the schools commitment to education and improvement over a five-year period.
Elementary and secondary schools compete on alternate years to receive the honor.
Sashabaw Middle School was presented the Blue Ribbon award in a June 2 ceremony.
