At 6 p.m. on Oct. 15, the Brandon School District will present a ‘Meet the Candidates? forum at the Brandon Middle School Kiva. The five candidates who filed their signatures/application forms with the Oakland County Clerk’s Elections Office have been invited to participate. Those five candidates are: Debra Brady, Diana Kowalski, Maria Lauinger, Sherryl McLaughlin and Debbie Schummer. The candidates will be provided two minutes to introduce themselves and provide a brief background outline. Each candidate will be asked the same questions, and will have two minutes to respond to each query. At the conclusion of the formal question and answer session, candidates have been asked to remain present in case any residents have individual questions. The event is open to the public and will be videotaped for broadcast on our local cable television station.
