At their Sept. 28 regular meeting, the Oxford Schools Board of Education approved the OESPA two-year master contract. The OESPA is the union for all secretaries, paraprofessionals and computer technicians in the district. ‘We had a very good session with that group,? said Human Resource Director Nancy Kammer. ‘We began the negotiations in the spring and had a tentative contract this past June.?
The union decided to wait on ratifying the contract until after the new school year began so that all members would be present to vote, explained Kammer during the board meeting. The OESPA master contract covers the 2004-05 and 2005-06 school years and affects approximately 75 employees. The agreement calls for a 2 percent raise each year.
