Downtown Lake Orion encouraged commerce in the downtown area, while encouraging residents to get outside at the same time, with the Dog Days of August Sidewalk Sales, held Aug. 12-14.
Downtown businesses were encouraged to offer sales outside their buildings on the sidewalk.
The event took on a dog theme on Saturday, with a dog parade (featuring about 60 dogs in costume), dog contests, Adopt a Dog, hot dog vendors and Leader Dog demonstrations.
