Dear Editor,
The Independence Township Board approved the building of a temporary senior center at Clintonwood Park for township senior residence at their board meeting June 5.
I commend the board and especially thank Trustee Charles Dunn for taking a leadership role in recommending the township take responsibility and provide a safe place for seniors to meet.
If all construction goes as planned the seniors should be in their new building sometime before the new year.
