Colleges around the county recognized seven LOHS senior athletes April 11 with opportunities to sign letters of intent, guaranteeing them an easier time paying for tuition.
Volleyball players Shannon Murdock (Ashland in Ohio) and Kristina Hill (Carson Newman in Tenn.), lacrosse players Brad Bogus and Jacob Berkal (Albion), baseball player Dalton Oveson (Olney in Ill.), runner Ashley Bartreau (Denison in Ohio) and Basketball player Marisa Secontine (Siena Heights) all signed their way into an easier pay rate and a continued athletic career. The signing was the busiest of the 2011/12 sports season, with about 150 attendees including family and friends.
