Springfield hosts sports programs

Springfield Township Parks and Recreation hosts a Sand Volleyball Camp, June 22-26, at Clintonwood Park.
The five-day program for fourth-ninth graders teaches basic skills, focused on passing, serving, setting and hitting. At the end of each session will be 15 minutes of court play. Fun and games will be incorporated. No prior experience necessary.
Fee is $70/resident, $80 non-resident.
Shepherds Hollow Golf Club instructors provide Golf Lessons, Mondays and Wednesdays, July 13-27, beginners, ages 8-11, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.; intermediate, ages 12-17, 10:45-11:45 a.m.; beginner adults, 6-7 p.m.; and intermediate adult, 7:15-8:15 p.m., at Shepherd’s Hollow Golf Course, 9085 Big Lake Road, Springfield Township.
Topics include rules, equipment, etiquette, full swing and short game fundamentals. Participants must bring a seven iron. Makeup dates due to weather will be arranged by the instructor.
Junior-golf fee are $99/resident, $104/non-resident. For adults, $$132/resident, $137/non-residents.
Instructor Dan Madden offers tennis camps for participants of all ages, July 6-9, at Mill Pond Park in Davisburg.
Black soled shoes are not permitted. All participants are required to bring their own racquets and plenty of water. Tennis balls will be provided.
