If you’re looking for something fun to do this summer that includes learning leadership skills, being a Counselor-in-training is for you, according to the Independence Township Parks and Recreation Department.
They are offering a program for high school students to become a CIT (Counselor-in-training). This program gives them the training to become a camp counselor. CITs will participate in exciting leadership activities, attend camp on a daily basis, including field trips and beach days with the campers.
The dates are from June 23 to August 15. The students will be scheduled to work during a one week session (9:30 to 4:30.)
