Whether your child has dreams of being a princess, a disco diva, a pirate or a superhero, Sugarbuzz and their ‘sweet parties for kids? has you covered.
‘We offer private, all-inclusive children’s parties,? says co-owner Leslie Pender, who owns and operates the business with her mother, Mary Bonnell, and sister, Wendy Jaent.
All parties take place in a private room, planned by a professional party coordinator, with formal table settings with linen, china, silverware and centerpieces with balloons.
There are a variety of themes, such as princess, diva/rock star, garden tea party, pirate, cowboy, carnival and superhero (which includes an appearance by Spiderman or Batman), that work for both boys and girls.
The deluxe parties run for two hours, with each child receiving themed accessories and a deluxe goodie bag with toys and candy.
The parties include a choice of pizza or hotdogs, a Sugarbuzz signature cake served with ice cream, a game with prizes for everyone and a craft to make and take home.
‘Buzz (the pink elephant) also comes out and dances,? Pender says, noting that the parties also include a half hour of disco and karaoke in the special ‘Disco Ballroom.?
Pender recommends parents stop by and take a tour of the facilities before planning their child’s next party.
Sugarbuzz is a one-of-a-kind establishment, having been the brainchild of the three women. According to Pender, her sister has little ones and was looking for new ideas for parties. Her mother worked at Meadowbrook Hall and saw how well children’s parties went, and through a mix of all their ideas, Sugarbuzz was born.
Sugarbuzz is nearing their second anniversary, and due to the success of the business, Pender says they are planning on starting to offer franchise options soon.
In addition to being party central for children’s parties, Sugarbuzz also offers bridal and wedding showers, as well as a small gift shop with children’s gift, candy and Toys. They offer free gift-wrapping for anything that is purchased in the store.
Sugarbuzz also offers ‘A Girls Night Out? once a month, typically on the third Friday of the month. The night, which is perfect for girls ages six- to 12-years-old, features a hair-do station, make-up station, a manicure station, a facial station, a pizza dinner with chips and beverages, chocolate fountain, dancing and karaoke in the ‘Disco Ballroom? and a gift bag for each girl to take home. Reservations are required, and space for these special nights is limited.
