Suspect sought in burglary

Detectives are looking for a suspect in connection with two commercial burglaries in Independence Township.
Investigation indicates someone broke into exterior and interior doors of the businesses in the 6100 block of Dixie Highway by prying, during the night of May 11-12.
The businesses were ransacked and a cash box was taken. Tools believed to have been used in the burglary were recovered at an adjoining business.
Investigators determined the tools were purchased at the Auburn Hills Home Depot on May 9.
Security images were provided by Home Depot Loss Prevention. In addition to the tools, the suspect also purchased lighter fluid, matches and disposable nitrile rubber gloves at the same time. The tools have been recovered, the lighter fluid and matches have not.
Suspect was driving a Toyota Camry during the Home Depot incident.
