Some time this year, Paint Creek in the Village of Lake Orion will be tested for water quality. The cost to the village will be $1,600 which covers sampling, testing, analysis and a written report.
The sampling will be done at Meek’s Park. Testing the water is part of a larger project being conducted by the Clinton River Watershed Council.
Sampling is being done at different points along the creek’s route from Brandon Township to its mouth in Rochester.
Samples will be tested for total dissolved phosphorous, total suspended solids, dissolved oxygen, E coli, ph rating and temperature.
