The National Marrow Donor Program will sponsor the ‘Thanks Mom? Marrow Donor Drive from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., May 10 at UAW Local 5960, 180 Silverbell Road in Lake Orion.
Kammron Myles, the son of Derrick Myles and Heather Jones (a 1991 Brandon High School graduate), is in need of a bone marrow transplant to save his life. Kammron, 11-months-old, has a rare immunodeficiency disease known as IPEX.
During this special campaign, all that is required is a cheek swab to enter a person in the national bone marrow registry. The swab is free.
