Brandon Twp. — It’s been six years but Truck Town Thunder are on their way back to the World Championship.
On April 8 and 9 Brandon High School robotics team, Truck Town Thunder, traveled to Saginaw Valley State University to compete at the Michigan State Championships.
After a long day of qualification matches, Truck Town Thunder were picked by Team 27, RUSH, from Clarkston High School to be a part of the sixth alliance. Team 4392, The Deceivers, from Brimley completed the three school alliance.
“The teams fought hard before they were eventually eliminated in the semifinals,” said Sadie Media/Awards Subteam leader. “They are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to compete at this level and are excited to be bringing the team back to Worlds after six years.”
After a successful weekend, Truck Town Thunder has qualified for the World Championships in Houston on April 19-24.
