The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of suspicious circumstances on McGregor on March 28.
According to an OCSD report, a 27-year-old woman reported that an unknown man had been trying to open her front door. She and a friend were watching a movie when they heard the screen door handle rattle and turn. The woman saw a silhouette of a man’s face looking in the window.
The woman called the police, and said the man tried to open the door again, then fled on foot. She said a truck had been driving slowly down the street prior to the incident. The OCSD recommended she leave her porch light on to discourage anyone from coming to the house.
