PUBLIC NOTICE
CORRECTED SYNOPSIS OF ADOPTED ORDINANCE
At its Regular Meeting of January 13, 2002, the Lake Orion Village Council adopted Ordinance No. 31.21, An Ordinance Entitled “Construction Codes Ordinance Amendment”, Amending by adding a new Chapter 150A to the Code of Ordinances, Title XV, LAND USAGE, and Amending Chapters 150, 151,152 and 153.
The effect of this Ordinance is to give the Village the responsibility for administering and enforcing the Single State Construction Code Act and the State Construction Code within the Village limits.
This Ordinance is effective upon the State Construction Code Commission’s approval of Village administration and enforcement of the State Construction Code and Act and publication by the Village of a Notice of said approval. The complete text of the Ordinance is on file in the office of the Village Clerk (37 E. Flint St., Lake Orion, MI 48362) and available for public inspection during regular Village office hours. A Regular Meeting of the Village of Lake Orion Board of Zoning Appeals will be held on THURSDAY, February 6, 2003, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Lake Orion Village Hall, 37 E. Flint St., Lake Orion, MI 48362
The following applications, for zoning variances, will be considered:

Proposal: Use variance, to permit a use of land otherwise prohibited by the Zoning Ordinance. To permit a real estate company office to occupy the existing Ehman Center building in the R-1A (One Family Dwelling) district.

Proposal: Alterations and additions to an existing nonconforming dwelling including: construction of a new foundation, removal of the roof and addition of a second floor, a new porch and installation of an air conditioning unit requiring eight (8) variances from the Zoning Ordinance as follows:
To permit a nonconforming structure to be structurally altered when alterations do not conform to the Zoning Ordinance.
To expand and structurally alter an existing non-conforming building.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Public Accuracy Test for the March 10, 2003 General Election has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2003, at 4:30 p.m. in the Village Hall at 37 E. Flint Street, Lake Orion, MI 48362.
The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to determine that the program and the tabulator being used to tabulate the results of the election counts the votes in the manner prescribed by law.
